I believe each era gets the music they deserve. I thought this prop was interesting and entertaining. Singers have been rising and dropping to the stage since the 70's. Today, most kids want the whole show. Dancers, lots of singers, costume changes... They don't seem to care if the singing or musicians are really doing anything.
